Gtechniq was founded by quantum physicist Drew Gill in 2001, out of total dissatisfaction with the performance of paint protection products at the time.
Everything from waxes, to new-fangled polymers and PTFE-based miracle treatments, nothing on the market offered any meaningful durability, either in looks, or protection. Worse still, he found that most of the products actually performed poorer than the paints they were supposed to protect.

Got my X3 ceramic coated and it looks fresh and clean! Brian is down to earth fella. Made me feel comfortable leaving my car to get ceramic coating. Took my BMW X5M didn’t know what to expect. I seen a lot of of his work on Instagram but pictures don’t do it justice. Once you see it in person and especially when it’s your own Car I’m very touchy about people touching my car but Bryan did such an amazing job that I couldn’t believe it when I saw it

I recently picked up a brand-new Mercedes-Benz GLE 63 S from a dealership in LA, but the paint had terrible light reflections due to poor detailing work by the dealership. I found Diamond Auto Restoration through a Facebook ad, and I’m so glad I did.

As much as I wish a professional car ceramic coating made you not have to wash your vehicle – you still do.
Even after applying a professional ceramic coating, washing your car regularly is necessary to maintain its appearance and protect the coating. The ceramic coating provides a barrier of protection against contaminants, but it is not impervious to dirt, grime, and other substances that can accumulate on the vehicle’s surface over time. Regular washing helps to remove these contaminants and prevent them from etching into the surface, which can cause permanent damage to the coating. Additionally, regular washing helps to maintain the shine and overall appearance of the vehicle, ensuring that it continues to look its best for years to come.
The truth is – not that much. A professional car ceramic coating provides a VERY small amount of protection, if any, against swirling and scratching. Many companies claim that it does, but it does not. It works to reduce swirling and scratching as mentioned above.
This is especially true if you are very aggressive with your vehicle washing and drying, use improper washing techniques, or use an automatic car wash, like Today’s Car Wash or Galaxy Car Wash in the Copperas Cove/Killeen/Harker Heights area.
Bird droppings/bug guts/hard water spots that are left to etch into the paint are not warrantable items, nor are wash damage items such as taking it through an automatic car wash. Ceramic coating provides no rock chip or scratch protection (only clear bra does that, and even then, clear bra can be penetrated by debris given certain conditions), and therefore also not warrantable.
Try to let us know in advance if you need to place graphics after the fact, such as on a track car. We can either polish that surface later for you so it will stick, use Acrysol as we mentioned, or plan around it. On our Copperas Cove/Killeen/Harker Heights area client’s RAM TRX Tyrant below, we removed the badges knowing the client had new badges on order, and we replaced the badges for them when they came in, using Acrysol or polish.
